A conversation about grassroots voter organizing and how we can take meaningful action together to strengthen democracy

Some days it is hard to open the news and not feel discouraged. The scale of what is happening in our country can feel overwhelming. And still, I keep coming back to the same question: what is a meaningful way to act right now?

For me, one answer is supporting grassroots voter organizing.

That is why I am hosting a Flip the Vote gathering. Flip the Vote identifies and supports community organizations in key states that work year round to engage voters, especially young voters and voters of color. These groups build relationships and trust long before election season arrives. Their work helps strengthen participation in communities that are often overlooked but can play a decisive role in national elections.

At our gathering, we will hear briefly about Flip the Vote’s strategy and the grassroots organizations they support. We will have time for conversation, questions, and connection with others who care about protecting and strengthening our democracy.

You do not need to donate to attend. My hope is simply to create a space where we can learn together and explore how each of us might contribute in ways that align with our values.

If you are longing for a way to act with purpose rather than despair, I hope you will join us.
