Join us for the Fall 2026 Q&A Series with Roxy Manning

September 10 to December 5, 2026. One free hour each month.

From September through December I am setting aside an hour each month for your questions. These are not mini workshops. I will not arrive with a presentation or a curriculum to cover. Bring something you are wrestling with: a conversation you wish had gone differently, a place you are stuck, or something you have been thinking about and want company with.

Each hour stands on its own. Come to one, or come to all four. Every session is free, and every session is recorded and sent to everyone who registers, so you are covered if the time does not work or you can only stay for part of it.

NVC in Practice Q&A: When Knowing Isn’t Enough

You know the NVC model. You may even know exactly what you wish you had said.

And then you are in the actual conversation. Your mother says the thing she always says. A colleague sends an email that gets under your skin. Someone catches you off guard, and all the language that was available in the workshop disappears.

That is what I want to spend this hour on. Bring one of those moments. We can slow it down together and look at what happened: what got activated, what mattered to you, what made it hard to respond the way you wanted to, and what you might try next time.

You do not need to bring a polished NVC question. Bring the messy version.

Antiracist Conversations Q&A: The Conversations We Were Never Taught to Have

Sometimes the conversation about race went badly. Sometimes you never started it.

Someone said something in a meeting and you froze. You tried to respond and the conversation got defensive fast. You have something you want to say to a friend or colleague, and every version you rehearse in your head seems likely to make things worse.

Bring that conversation. We will look at the specifics: not what people should do in conversations about race, but what happened in yours. Who said what? What mattered? What were the risks? What do you wish had happened instead?

Race and power also shape the cost of speaking honestly. The risks are not the same for everyone in the room, and I do not want to pretend they are. So we will include that too.

Race and Family History Q&A: What We Inherit

Families hand down more than stories. We inherit ways of making sense of the world, ways of protecting ourselves, things everyone talks about and things nobody talks about.

And our families lived inside history. Racism, migration, displacement, exclusion, economic injustice, violence and survival can all become part of a family’s story, whether later generations know the details or not. These things do not stay in the generation they happened to. They move through families, they land in bodies, and they show up in the rooms we walk into now.

Systemic Constellations is one way of working with that. It is not talk therapy and it is not a history lesson. It is a way of putting the whole system in the room, the people, the losses, the things nobody spoke about, so that something can move that has not moved in a long time.

This hour is for your questions about that terrain. What constellation work actually is, and what it can hold. What it means to look at racial trauma and family history as one piece of work rather than two. What comes up in you when you consider looking at your own lineage. You do not need any prior experience. Curiosity is enough.

Living NVC Q&A: NVC on a Tuesday

Most of life does not happen in a practice group. It happens in the staff meeting. The grocery line. The family group text. The kitchen when everybody is hungry and somebody has just said the exact wrong thing.

That is where NVC has to live too.

For our last free Q&A of the year, bring whatever your ordinary life is handing you right now. Maybe it is a relationship. A work situation. Family. A boundary you are trying to set. A conversation you are avoiding. Or one of those tiny recurring interactions that should not be such a big deal and somehow is.

We will see what the practice has to offer. Not perfectly. In real life, which is how almost all of it gets done.
